Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. has suspended the application and issuance of all permits for non-essential gatherings, and revoked all related permits issued for similar purposes.

“There is a need to exercise preventive intervention to stem the continued rise of COVID-19 cases, especially those with pre-existing comorbidities, as well as the elderly population, wherein the vaccination targets of the Department of Health continue to be unmet,” said Escalante in his Executive Order Number SGE-018-2022.
