Malacañang suspended work in government offices, and classes at all levels nationwide, starting noon of Oct. 31, in observance of the All Saints’ and All Souls’ days.
In order to provide government employees full opportunity to properly observe the traditional All Saints’ and All Souls’ days activities, and to allow them to travel to and from different regions in the country, and promote domestic tourism, work in government offices and classes at all levels shall be suspended on Oct. 31, starting at 12 noon, as per Memorandum Circular (MC) 67, dated Oct. 22.
“Those agencies, whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services,” the MC, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, said.
Suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of the respective heads, Bersamin added.
