NGCP sets 12-hr brownout

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines will shut down its Bacolod-Silay 69kV transmission line, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 12 that will affect the Burgos, Mt. View, Talisay, Panaogao, and Lopez substations of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative.

Atty. Danny Pondevilla, Ceneco acting general manager, said this is part of NGCP’s preventive maintenance schedule, adding that the power coop will take advantage of this downtime by implementing simultaneous maintenance activities.

Areas to be affected by the 12-hour outage are those under the feeders of BF4, MF1, MF2, MF3, MF4, and MF5.

From 6 a.m. to 7 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., also on Sunday, a brownout will affect feeders BF1, BF2, BF3, BF4, TF1, TF2, TF3, PF1, and PF2.

A 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. outage will affect those under feeders LF1, LF2, and LF3 the same day, the Ceneco added in an advisory. | NND
