A joyful Easter celebration brought life to the blessing and inauguration of the newly-renovated children’s playground in Cadiz City April 20.
The blessing was led by Rev. Sunday Brasona, who offered prayers for the safety, happiness, and wellbeing of all children and families, who will enjoy the space.
Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. emphasized in his message Cadiz’s ongoing progress and the value of creating spaces that nurture joy, play, and learning for children, the city said in a press release.

He also recognized the significance of the playground’s continuous enhancement and its iconic lion head entrance, which is a lasting legacy of the Lions Club-Cadiz City. The mayor encouraged everyone to give thanks for Christ’s Resurrection and to stay united in building a better Cadiz.
The event was highlighted by an exciting Easter egg hunt, a lively magic show, and special appearances from Easter Bunny, Jollibee, Grimace, and Hamburglar mascots, bringing extra smiles to the little ones.
The crowd was also treated to the newly-enhanced fountain display.
The improved children’s playground is now open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. ||
