New provincial police director for Negros Occ.

P/Col. Rainerio de Chavez assumes the post of provincial director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) on Thursday.

The development was confirmed Wednesday night by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who will witness the turnover of command at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.

De Chavez will succeed PCol. Leo Pamittan, who led NOCPPO for more than two years.

Before he was assigned to Negros Occidental, De Chaves, 49, served as provincial director of Batangas PPO, and officer-in-charge of Rizal PPO.

He belongs to the Philippine National Police Academy Class 2000.

PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, newly-installed regional director of Police Regional Office-Western Visayas, will preside over the change of command. | GB
