Negros Electric and Power Corp. (Negros Power) is set to enhance electricity reliability and improve service quality for consumers in four different areas of Bacolod City today, through a series of distribution transformer capacity uprates.
This proactive measure, according to Negros Power, aims to address potential overloading issues that could lead to unexpected and widespread power interruptions, ensuring a more stable and consistent standard voltage and power supply for residents.
To facilitate these upgrades, Negros Power will implement temporary power interruptions in the affected areas, allowing crews to work safely and efficiently.
Time and affected areas are the following:
8 a.m. to 12 noon: Portion of MF2 – Eroreco Subd., Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City due to uprating of 37.5KVA distribution transformer into 75KVA distribution transformer
8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Portion of AF1 – Florenceville, Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City due to prating the 25KVA common distribution transformer into a 50KVA distribution transformer and replacing the primary wooden pole with a 40ft concrete pole
8 a.m. to 12 noon: Portion of AF1 – Ramylu Drive, Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City due to uprating of 25KVA distribution transformer into 50KVA distribution transformer
1 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Portion of AF8 – Phase 5, Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City due to uprating of 15KVA common distribution transformer into 50KVA distribution transformer.
These upgrades are part of Negros Power’s comprehensive five-year rehabilitation and modernization plan, a commitment to delivering a more reliable and efficient power system for the entire region.
