The Central Negros Electric Cooperative has lauded the Negros Electric and Power Corp. (Negros Power) for its assistance in the repair and rehabilitation of two substations in Bacolod City yesterday.
“We have successfully rehabilitated the Reclamation and Burgos substations, ensuring enhanced electricity delivery to our consumers,” Ceneco acting general manager Arnel Lapore said in a statement.
He noted that this proactive approach will minimize future disruptions, adding that Ceneco appreciates the support and understanding of the consumers during the maintenance works.
Ceneco informed the consumers of the scheduled maintenance activities before Sunday.
“We are grateful to Negros Power for their valuable assistance with manpower, equipment and expertise,” Lapore said.
Meanwhile, a fire brought P8 million worth of damage to three commercial establishments located along Gatuslao Street in Bacolod City, a report of the Bureau of F | ire and Protection (BFP) said.
These are Merzci Bread and Pastries, FNE Fashion Shop and Zoliv Novelty Shop.
No one was reported hurt in the blaze, which was reported to the BFP at 9:48 a.m. and declared as fire out about an hour after.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, the BFP said. | GB
