Negros Power engages brgy leaders in Talisay

The Negros Electric and Power Corp. (Negros Power) conducted its PaKAPE program in Talisay City, bringing together 27 barangay officials during the dialogue held at the Minuluan Hall on April 16.

The activity served as a platform for open dialogue between the power utility and local leaders, strengthening collaboration in addressing energy concerns at the grassroots level.

Participants actively engaged in discussions aimed at improving electricity services and promoting community awareness.

A key highlight of the program was the presentation of the System Loss Reduction Program led by Engr. Edwin Montemayor.

During his discussion, Montemayor emphasized the importance of minimizing system losses through community cooperation, stricter monitoring of illegal connections, and continuous infrastructure improvements.

In addition, Negros Power shared its latest accomplishments, outlining ongoing projects and service enhancements aimed at delivering more reliable and efficient electricity to consumers.

These include upgrades in distribution facilities, faster response to outages, and strengthened partnerships with local government units.

Dos Hermanas village chief Jenalyn Magbanua expressed her support for the initiative, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the community and the power provider.

The PaKAPE Program reflects Negros Power’s commitment to transparency, community engagement, and sustainable energy development.

By involving barangay leaders, the company hopes to foster stronger support for its initiatives and ensure that concerns from the ground are directly addressed.
