The Negros Creative Corner, the newest creative space at the first floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City, will open today, May 15, with its first exhibition, “Panulok”, featuring the works of Negrosanon artists.

“Panulok”, which opens at 6 p.m. and will run until Aug. 15, features the works of Faye Abantao, Moreen Austria, Charlie Co, Daryl Feril, Roedil Geraldo, Frelan Gonzaga, Erika Mayo, Manny Montelibano, and Mikiboy Pama.

“It reflects on what happens when we are invited to pause, look closely, and pay attention — to memories and to the realities of being human today,” exhibit organizer Orange Project said in a post.

“In a time when important things are easily overlooked, the exhibition encourages viewers to reflect both inwardly and on the world around them, recognizing that everyone carries something that longs to be seen and heard,” it added. “At the heart of the exhibition is the quiet invitation to ‘magtulok sing maayo’. Through this act of looking, ‘Panulok’ opens space for reflection, empathy, and a deeper awareness of how we move through the world alongside one another.”

Also presented by Ayala Malls, “Panulok”, curated by Moreen Austria, continues both organizations’ commitment to bringing contemporary art into public spaces and creating encounters beyond the gallery walls.

The Negros Creative Corner is dedicated to celebrating the talent, stories, and artistic spirit of Negros, the mall management also said. ||
