The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with the local government unit of Zamboanguita, officially launched Negosyo Center, the 18th in Negros Oriental and the second established this year.

More than a physical structure, Negosyo Center Zamboanguita stands as a symbol of resilience, commitment, and the boundless potential of every Filipino entrepreneur, the DTI Negros Oriental said.

As a permanent hub for enterprise development, the center delivers essential services directly to the people of Zamboanguita, including business registration, advisory services, training programs, financing facilitation, and market linkage opportunities, it added.

“This breaks down barriers and opens doors for both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs,” the agency stressed, adding that, through this initiative, the DTI reaffirms its steadfast dedication to empowering communities to start, sustain, and scale up their enterprises, fostering a more dynamic local economy and a stronger, more prosperous Zamboanguita.

The launch last week was attended by DTI 7 and NIR acting regional director Esperanza Melgar, provincial director Juliet Banogon, and SDD Division chief Maribel Sumanoy, together with Municipal Mayor Jonah Pat Aviles, Vice Mayor Felipe Gil Elmido Jr., and Sangguniang Bayan members, among others.

The launching is a testament to the strong collaboration between national and local governments in championing MSME development and inclusive economic growth, the DTI stressed.
