Farmer associations from various towns and cities in Negros Occidental received poultry and livestock, all worth P813,000, under the Provincial Animal Genetic Improvement and Livelihood Programs implemented by the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO).
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the ceremonial turnover of the project June 3 at the Capitol grounds in Bacolod City, together with provincial veterinarian, Dr. Placeda Lemana.
The animals were produced at two provincial farms, the Negros First Ranch and the Provincial Livestock Breeding Center and Dairy Farm, both managed by the PVO.

Among the beneficiaries are the Catholic Ming Huan College, Negros Occidental Swine Inseminators, Cadiz Agro Resources Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Murcia Farmers’ Cooperative, Site Gloria Lulu Framers and Farm Workers Association, 94th IB 3ID, 823rd Naval Reserve Group, Hiang-hiyang Campsite Workers, Estrao Agri-Dev’t Academy, Ignacio Arroyo Memorial District Hospital;
Paravet Association of Negros Occidental, Salamnca Farmers and ARB Association, Yulo ARB Association, Pag-agiwan Small Farmers Association, Bantayan Integrated Farmers Association, Canlamay ARB Farmers Association, Mailum Organic Village Association, Tabukol Farmers Association, and Calatrava Sericulture Farmers Association, among others, the Capitol said. ||
