NegOcc barangays get P5.7M in projects

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover of checks for barangay projects, all worth P5.7 million, to 19 barangays in the different local government units of the province.

The barangay captains received the checks in a ceremonial turnover held at the Capitol grounds in Bacolod City Oct. 6, in the presence of 3rd District Board Member Andrew Montelibano.

Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson leads the distribution of checks for projects in 19 barangays of the province.

The barangay projects include concreting of barangay road, construction of perimeter fence, installation of solar streetlights, construction of community covered court, renovation of barangay hall, construction of footwalk and multi-purpose hall, installation of community CCTV, purchase of multi-purpose vehicle, and construction of closed drainage system, among others, a press release from the Capitol said.

The beneficiary barangays, which received P300,000 each, are Alimango, Jonobjonob, Old Poblacion, Udtongan, Paitan, Libertad, all of Escalante City; Bagonbon in San Carlos City; Brgy. Jerusalem, Cadiz City; Vito, Malubon, and Baviera in Sagay City; Dos Hermanas in Talisay City; Brgy. III in Silay City; Sagasa, Taloc, Sampinit, and Ma-ao of Bago City; Brgy. Man-uling in Cauayan; and Brgy. Gil Montilla in Sipalay City. | NND
