
The Negros Occidental provincial government is extending a P4 million financial aid to Albay and Catanduanes in the Bicol Region as well as Cagayan Valley and Isabela that were badly hit by recent Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.
The financial assistance to the four typhoon-ravaged areas was approved Tuesday during the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council meeting presided by PDRRMC concurrent chair, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, at the Capitol Social Hall.
Each will receive P1 million, he said.
The council also approved the P156.52 million allocation to fund programs, projects, and activities of the PDRRMC for 2021.
All approved agenda will be endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. – MLL
