The dismembered human body dumped in front of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bacolod District Office on March 1 has already been identified.
Citing reports of an informant, NBI-Bacolod head Renoir Baldovino said on Tuesday (March 5) that the victim is a “drug personality” in Bacolod City.
He, however, withheld the person’s identity.
Mutilated human body parts placed inside a sack, with an accompanying note linking a personnel of NBI to an alleged drug lord, was found in front of the NBI office last Friday.
Baldovino said that a technical team from the NBI central office will visit Bacolod City to examine the severed human body parts.
He also debunked speculations of conflict between his executive officer Jose Gabriel and special investigator William de Arca, who was linked to an alleged drug lord.
De Arca serves as the team leader of the anti-illegal gambling task force of NBI-Bacolod.
Baldovino maintained that he believes the dumping incident is meant to threaten them in their campaign against illegal gambling. | GB
