Filipino workers and their families will have more opportunities to find homes suited to their needs and budgets as the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Pag-IBIG Fund bring 50,000 housing units from more than 80 partner developers to the 2nd National Housing Expo on Oct. 19 and 20 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The two-day event builds on the gains of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (Expanded 4PH) Program, which combines higher housing loan limits, lower interest rates and stronger developer partnerships. It will feature house-and-lot properties, condominiums and ready-for-occupancy units, including homes within Metro Manila that offer workers opportunities to live closer to their workplaces.

DHSUD Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Board chairman Jose Ramon Aliling said the Expo builds on the gains of Expanded 4PH by strengthening collaboration between government and the private sector to increase housing supply and make homeownership more affordable.

“President Marcos has given us a clear directive to provide every Filipino family the opportunity to own a quality and affordable home in a safe community. We are building on the gains of Expanded 4PH by strengthening partnerships with leading developers to increase housing supply, including ready-for-occupancy homes within cities. Together with Pag-IBIG Fund’s higher housing loan limits and lower interest rates, these efforts are opening more opportunities for Filipino workers across income levels to own homes, including condominium units, closer to their workplaces. The National Housing Expo brings these gains together, demonstrating how government and the private sector can address both sides of the housing equation,” Aliling said in a statement Oct. 15.

Under the Expanded 4PH, Pag-IBIG Fund offers financing options across income levels. Qualified members purchasing socialized housing may avail of a subsidized interest rate of 3 percent while promotional rates of 4.5 percent and 5.75 percent make higher-priced homes more affordable for middle- and upper-middle-income members.

With housing loans of up to P10 million, more families can consider homes closer to employment centers. The promotional rates are offered until Dec. 31, 2026.

Pag-IBIG Fund chief executive officer Marilene Acosta said the Expo reflects Pag-IBIG Fund’s comprehensive approach to homeownership by bringing together more housing choices, affordable financing and accessible services through government and private-sector collaboration.

“Our approach is to make homeownership easier and more affordable at every step. Together with our fellow key shelter agencies and private-sector partners, we are bringing more housing choices, affordable financing and personalized assistance closer to Filipino workers and their families. This is the heart of Lingkod Pag-IBIG service. We want every member who visits the Expo to understand what they can afford, explore homes suited to their needs and budget, and take meaningful steps toward owning one. At the National Housing Expo, we are bringing all these opportunities together in one place,” Acosta said.

Among the featured developers are Amaia Land, Avida Land, DMCI Homes, Filinvest Land, Megaworld Corporation, Robinsons Land, Rockwell Land, PH1 World Developers, Megawide and SMDC. The Expo will also feature housing projects from longtime partner developers that have been offering homes through Pag-IBIG Fund financing.

Homebuyers can also look forward to special prices, buyer incentives and Pag-IBIG Acquired Assets offered at discounts of up to 30 percent. Solar energy solution providers and home essentials retailers will also participate, offering special packages and discounts to Pag-IBIG loyalty cardholders. Visitors may obtain on-site Pag-IBIG Housing Loan computations, financing guidance and application assistance. Pag-IBIG Fund is also coordinating with employers to help their workers attend the event.

Held during National Shelter Month, the Expo brings together DHSUD, Pag-IBIG Fund, key shelter agencies, and private developers to help Filipino families find affordable homes, including those near their workplaces.

Interested homebuyers may register through the official National Housing Expo registration website and select their preferred schedule. Their personal QR code and Loan Value Card will help them conveniently explore developer booths and identify homes suited to their needs and budget. ||
