The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs) recorded three ash emission events at Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island on Sunday, April 5.

The first ash emission started at 1:10 p.m. followed by two more at 3:10 p.m. and 5:09 p.m, with events generated grayish plumes that have risen 350 to 1,200 meters above the summit crater.

Alert Level 2 still prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.

Due to continuing ash emission activities of Kanlaon Volcano, the Office of Civil Defense reminded the affected communities to be wary of the ashfall.

Phivolcs also logged four ash emission events at Kanlaon Volcano on March, 25, 26, 27 and 30, respectively.

The fire has temporarily displaced four families, composed of 10 individuals, according to the Bureau of Fire and Protection.
