More socialized housing eyed in Dumaguete City

The construction of more socialized housing is being eyed for the marginalized and low-income families in Dumaguete City.

Newly-assumed National Housing Authority District Office OIC Engr. Marc Peterson Ng, along with key personnel, paid a courtesy call on Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and City Administrator Lilani Ramon to discuss ways of enhancing their partnership in building more socialized housing for the marginalized and low-income families.

Remollo said the city will continue working with the NHA so that deserving families will be provided with decent, affordable, and safe homes conducive to raising their families and improving quality of life.

Ng and Remollo will discuss further the possibility of making available a lot for the NHA office inside the E.C. Ouano Sr. Complex Government Center in Barangay Bajumpandan to better serve the transacting public, the city said Jan. 25.

Also present during Thursday’s meeting were principal engineer Ivy Delfin Sr., Community Support Services officer Lezel Mee Cartalla, and acting admin officer Edgardo Lorenzo Baños. ||
