There will be mixed movements in the prices of petroleum products this week, with diesel set to rollback by P0.10 per liter, no change for gasoline, and about P0.60 to P1/L reduction for kerosene.

The minimal adjustment followed the big-time rollback that took effect Dec. 12, with diesel reduced by P1.85/L, gasoline by P1.60/L, and kerosene by P1.40/L.

The Department of Energy said the “week-on-week price of Dubai crude has decreased by nearly $5.60/bbl. MOPS gasoline, diesel, and kerosene have also decreased by about $5.30, $5.20, and $4.00 per barrel, respectively”.

Crude prices continued to trend lower on demand concerns; underwhelming OPEC+ production cuts and lackluster global economic growth also supported the downtrend, the DOE Oil Monitor showed.

The last price adjustments resulted in a net increase of P11.00/liter for gasoline, P3.85/L for diesel, and P0.54/L for kerosene since the start of this year, it added.

The DOE Visayas Field Office, meanwhile, said that application for the Certificate of Registration as LPG bulk consumer is now available through https://vfolto.pythonanywhere.com.

LPG bulk consumers are those who purchase LPG in large quantity for its own use, requires bulk storage but does not in any way engage in the sale of LPG to end-consumers; those who use LPG from bulk storage to LPG appliances or LPG-fed equipment; those whose LPG consumption is for single end-consumer; or multiple end-consumers whose LPG consumption is a part of utility expenses, the DOE said.

“To streamline the receipt of application and to accommodate the number of potential LPG bulk consumers, all applications shall only be accepted through online submission. Once accepted (complete submission), an Order of Payment shall be emailed prior to the processing of the issuance,” it added in an advisory.
