There will be mixed adjustments in the prices of petroleum products on March 5, with gasoline set to increase by P0.50 to P0.70 per liter, while diesel and kerosene could go down by P0.30 to P0.50/L.

The exact price movement will be known today, March 4.

This will be the fourth rollback for diesel and kerosene since the start of this year, following the P0.95/L and P1.10/L decrease, respectively, that took effect Feb. 27.

The Department of Energy Oil Monitor also showed that adjustments in the prices of gasoline, diesel, and kerosene stood at a net increase of P5.45/liter, P4.45/liter and P0.40/liter, respectively, since Jan. 1.

Prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), meanwhile, continued to increase for three consecutive months of 2024.

In an advisory, Petron said it implemented a P0.30/kg increase, inclusive of the value-added tax, in LPG prices effective March 1. “This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of March.”

Solane-branded LPG also hiked prices by P0.27 per kilogram effective Saturday, as per a PNA report, adding the price adjustments reflected an increment of P2.97 to P3.30 for a regular 11-kg. LPG tank. | CGC
