The search for a missing man ended in tragedy after his body was found floating near the shoreline of Barangay Lemery, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Aug. 8.
Police identified the victim through his alias, “Joel,” 30, a resident of Barangay Calampisawan, Calatrava.
He had been reported missing for several days before he was found.
His brother alias “Ronelo” saw his body near the coast of Sitio Kulo.
The police said that following the initial medical evaluation, the victim’s family signed a waiver declining a full autopsy.
The police logged the case as drowning incident. | GPB
