Kiosks and corporate booths will be put up in seven sites in Bacolod City, in line with the MassKara Festival celebration next month.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod has authorized the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation (BYF) to put up kiosks and booths at the public plaza, Bacolod City Government Center, along the Lacson Tourism Strip, at Megaworld’s The Upper East, at the Old City Hall, SM City Bacolod, and at the old airport.
“The installation of kiosks and corporate booths at the various festival sites is a vital measure to add to the festivities in the mounting of this year’s Bacolod MassKara Festival,” BYF president Katherine Matiling said in her letter to Mayor Alfredo Benitez that was, in turn, endorsed by the local chief executive to the SP.
“We assure the city that the foundation will be responsible for the organization and management of the kiosks and corporate booths,” Matiling said, adding the BYI will ensure that the kiosks and booths are clean and well-maintained.
“We believe that this is a win-win situation for the foundation, small and medium enterprises, and ultimately, the city of Bacolod. The foundation will be able to lessen the production expense to prioritize resources for other activities, like concerts, and for our major events,” Matiling explained.
The setting up of food kiosks at the public plaza will be from Oct. 4-6, with rental ranging from P10,000 to P17,000, for 16 days of the festivity, depending on the location.
Kiosks in front of PanAsiatic at BCGC is at P20,000; and near Market Place, P15,000, also for 16 days; and P20,000 for four days, or from Oct. 19-22, at Lacson tourism strip.
Rent for a 10-foot by 10-ft corporate booth at Lacson, BCGC, and at the public plaza, ranges from P40,000 to P50,000, the BYI added./CGC
