A Bacoleño died Saturday, after he jumped from a Roll on Roll off (RoRo) vessel in the territorial waters of Bacolod City.
The victim was identified by the Philippine Coast Guard as Enriquito Maguad Jr., 43, of Purok Santo Niño, in Brgy. Handumanan, Bacolod.
Maguad, who boarded a RoRo vessel from Dumangas Port in Iloilo, jumped into the waters, about 3.1 nautical miles away from the Bredco Port in Bacolod City, at about 3:55 p.m. Sept. 10.
He was eventually fished out and Amity Rescue personnel tried but failed to revive him, the Philippine Coast Guard said./GB
