A man died after falling off a moving motorcycle along the highway in Purok 1, Barangay Asia, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, Aug. 17.
Alias “Richard”, 51, and his wife “Sharon”, 52, both residents of Barangay Binicuil, were riding in the motorcycle driven by alias “Alvin”, 31, when the former fell off the vehicle.
Initial police investigation showed that “Richard” was seated directly behind “Alvin” when he fell onto the concrete road and landed in a prone position.
“Alvin” immediately turned the motorcycle around and sought help from nearby residents, who alerted local rescue teams, the police said.
Emergency personnel rushed the victim to the Hinoba-an District Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
“Alvin” and the motorcycle remain in the custody of the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station. | TMD
