Outdoor theme park Magikland in Silay City resumed operation on Saturday (Nov. 14) and will remain open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays until Nov. 30.
From Dec. 1 to 17, the theme park will be opened Friday to Sunday, and every day from Dec. 18 to Jan. 1 next year, Magikland Human Resource officer Charrie Tinsay said.
The theme park reopened Saturday after it stopped operating for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As it resumes operation, the management assures that strict implementation of the mandated health protocols is being observed such as wearing of face masks and face shields and requiring guests to fill out health declaration forms.
On its reopening weekend, the management invited the Silay Kansilay and MassKara dancers of Bacolod to perform as an added attraction.
Tinsay said that disinfection of the rides is regularly done while washing areas are in place in key points of the park.
In compliance with the mandated health protocols, Tinsay said they will only accommodate 1,500 guests at a time. Magikland has listed 4,000 capacity for its 5-hectare theme park.
As a treat to its guests during the reopening, park entrance fee was reduced from P280 per person to P150, with unlimited rides, under the Magikland’s “Balik Saya” promo. – GPB
