The Land Transportation Office Region in Western Visayas said it will deploy its E‑Patrol mobile service in Escalante City, Negros Occidental, from August 4 to 15.

The E‑Patrol van—branded “LTO on Wheels”—will provide onsite vehicle registration, driver’s license applications and renewals, and free theoretical driving course lecture, and road safety initiatives.

LTO E.B. Magalona District Office chief Reuben Tampos, with Ruth Ohoylan, head of the Driving Education Center at the Negros Occidental Licensing Center, and Transportation Regulation officer Argey Alekhine Carbo recently met with Escalante City Mayor Melecio “Beboy” Yap Jr. to discuss the deployment of the “LTO on Wheels” and other community‑based services.

The E‑Patrol is among the priority initiatives of regional director Gaudioso Geduspan II and assistant RD Jeck Conlu to enhance services across Western Visayas, the LTO said in a press release.

By stationing the mobile unit in key cities and municipalities, the agency aims to improve service visibility, reduce processing backlogs, and foster stronger local collaboration, it added.

The initiative is also aligned with the directive of assistant secretary and LTO chief, Atty. Vigor Mendoza II, to enhance grassroots service delivery, ensuring that even the most remote communities have convenient access to essential agency programs and services. ||
