The Land Transportation Office-Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) seized an unauthorized passenger vehicle and cited drivers of five trucks for road obstruction during separate operations in Bacolod City Aug. 18.

Enforcement officers intercepted a colorum vehicle along Magsaysay Street in Barangay Singcang-Airport for operating without a Certificate of Public Convenience.

The vehicle was carrying seven passengers, who were reportedly charged P400 each, for a trip from Sipalay to Bacolod City.

In a separate road-clearing drive in Barangay Mansilingan, personnel of the Regional Law Enforcement Service cited the drivers of five trucks found illegally parked in the area.

“The enforcement drive underscores LTO-NIR’s continuing efforts to keep roads clear, safe, and accessible to all motorists and road users,” the agency said.

Regular monitoring will continue across key routes in the region to enforce road safety laws, it added. | TMD
