Renato Novero, chief of the Land Transportation Office in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, commended the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office for implementing stringent health protocols against the coronavirus disease 2019.
Novero was guest of honor and speaker during the flag-raising ceremony Sept. 27, at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City.
In his message, Novero took note of the Safety Seal Certification that the NOCPPO recently received from the Department of the Interior and Local Government for being compliant with the minimum health standards set by the government in the fight against COVID-19.
He said the police force not only assist the government in ensuring that the public complies with the health standards, but it also made sure that its office and the police camp are safe.
“This is a classic example of ‘You Walk the Talk’, or you practice what you preach,” Novero stressed.
He also thanked the NOCPPO, headed by P/Col. Romy Palgue, for being front-liners in the fight against COVID, and for manning border checkpoints and strategic areas during lockdowns and movement restrictions.|
