‘Lilies of Resurrection’ on display until April 7

A group art exhibition of Christian artists at The Inns by the Oriental in Bacolod City is ongoing until April 7.

Titled “Lilies of Resurrection”, the show was organized by the Christian Artists National Various Arts Society (CANVAS), in partnership with the Babayi Art Group.

Guests of honor at the opening March 26 were Bishop Elenito Baron, senior pastor of The Great Shepherd Community, and Rev. Phil Seckler.

Daniel Bayles, president of CANVAS, said they started the exhibit as a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, when his father, Pastor Arthur Bayles was still alive.

“We all know that the Holy Week is a very important week to all of us Christians. We all are celebrating the timeless grace and boundless love of Jesus Christ towards us. He is also called the Lily of the Valley, and like the delicate petals of the lily His teachings has wisdom offering hope for all of us,” Bayles said in a press release.

The show features the works of Daniel Bayles, Elijah Bayles, Jasper Bayles, Karen Bayles, Miriam Bayles, Myrrh Bayles, Sky  Bayles, Nilda Claveraz, Tina de Jose, Konica Faustino, Michael David Frijas, Jeffrey Gamala, Azel Faith Guevara, Mary Joy Lopez, Janice Madalag, Janice Madalag, Emperado, Juliet Emperado, Emai Sasedor, Agustin Tragico, Allan Daniel Varon, Elenito Joseph Varon, and Isaiah Philip Varon. ||
