Bacolod City remains under Alert Level 2 until Dec. 15, and Mayor Evelio Leonardia today reiterated anew his appeal to Bacolodnons to strictly comply with the minimum health protocols because the coronavirus is not yet over.

Leonardia issued Executive Order No. 59, mandating that provisions of EO 53, released in mid-November when the National Inter-Agency Task Force downgraded the city’s status from Alert Level (AL) 4 to AL2, will still be in effect.

EO 53 “shall continue to be in full force and effect” for the duration of the extension of the AL2 status.

These provisions include, among others, the observance of the curfew hours from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Also covered is the modified policy on the sale of liquor and other intoxicating beverages, whose consumption in authorized outlets is allowed only from 12 noon until 10 p.m., a press release from the city said.

Intra-zonal and inter-zonal travel into and out of Bacolod was allowed following the issuance of EO 53, with Bacolod-bound passengers only required to present their  vaccination cards, while those who are unvaccinated must present a negative RT-PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to their arrival in Bacolod City.

Leonardia also issued EO 54, or the voluntary use of face shield in public places within the territorial jurisdiction of Bacolod City.| NND
