Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will lead the oathtaking of reelected and newly-elected provincial officials on June 28.

He will be joined by Vice Governor elect Jose Benito Alonso, Board Members Araceli Somoza and Marxlen de la Cruz (1st district), Arthur Christopher Marañon and Sixto Pal Guanzon (2nd district), Andrew Montelibano and Hope Marey Depasucat (3rd district), Nicholas Yulo and Paula Alonso (4th district), Rita Gatuslao and Hadji Trujillo (5th district), and Jeffrey Tubola and Ralph Alvarez (6th district).

Lacson, who is now on his third and final term, vowed to do his best to complete infrastructure projects within his term, including the continued development of the Mambukal Mountain Resort and the bulk water supply project.

“Rest assured, the provincial government of Negros Occidental will always be responsive to the needs of the Negrenses, under the slogan ‘Abanse Negrense’,” he said.

Lacson refused to talk about the 2028 politics in Negros Occidental as he asked the media to give him two and a half years to work. | GB
