The Brotherhood Association in Negros Occidental and urban poor groups from Isabela, Binalbagan, and Himamaylan City are pushing for Senator Panfilo Lacson to run for president in next year’s election with Senate President Vicente Sotto as his running mate.
The multi-sector groups signed a manifesto supporting the Lacson-Sotto tandem, stating their belief that the two senators have the integrity to fight corruption in the country.
Members of the LGBTQ community also signed the manifesto, along with members of AKRHO fraternity and sorority.
Calling themselves as Lacson-Sotto supporters, the groups conducted a feeding program in poverty-stricken communities of the province.
Also supporting the two senators is the youth organization BIGALS, which recently called for a press conference urging Lacson to run for president. – MML
