Negros Occidental incumbent Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson secured a fresh mandate, while his tandem, Joeben Alonso, is the incoming vice governor of the province, as per partial unofficial results from the Comelec Media Server, as of 11:14 p.m. May 12.
The results were from 92.47 percent of election results (ERs) processed, or 1,555,256 of the 2,001,732 registered voters in the province.
Lacson got 832,042 votes, while his rivals, Wantan Palanca got 62,023; Ferdenand Diego, 22,030; Toto Lirbando, 20,462; and Paul Octaviano, 12,149.
For vice governor, Alonso received 619,682 votes while Rosemarie Jaro Dreyfus got 127,514.
For the legislative districts, comebacking congressman Jules Ledesma of the 1st District got 145,127 votes while Erie Mahinay received 6,896 votes.
In the 2nd District, incumbent Thirdy Marañon is unopposed with 104,727 votes.
In the 3rd District, Javi Benitez received 189,094 votes as against the 17,167 of Joel Bantigue.
In the 4th District, comebacking solon Jeffrey Ferrer got 112,478 votes, while Lea Delfinado received 65,919.
Incumbents Dino Yulo and Mercedes Alvarez also won in the 5th and 6th districts, with 185,320 and 166,947 votes, compared to the 32,300 votes of Anton Occeño and 32,377 of Ernesto Estrao, respectively.
For members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), Marxlen dela Cruz received 100,186 votes and Araceli Somosa, 95,214 won in the 1st District; Atoy Marañon, 79,689 votes, and Pal Guanzon, 71,356, in the 2nd District;
Andrew Montelibano, 120,950; Bambi Depasucat, 97,835; Rolin Meliton, 83,856; and Tukoy Occida, 3,694, in the 3rd District; Paula Alonso, 94,396; Leo Carlo Delfinado, 75,105; Nikko Yulo, 73,219; and Angelo Quitco, 4,398, in the 4th District;
In the 5th District, Hadji Trojillo led the race with 85,692 votes; Rita Gatuslao, 80,997; Bordz Kareem Feria, 48,905; Aly Tongson Jr., 41,421; Cherrie Hope Belarga, 24,692; and Patrick Montilla, 16,925 votes.
In the 6th District, Ralph Alvarez led the race with 127,510 votes; incumbent Jeffrey Tubola, 96,351; Chad Zayco, 38,973; Michael Legaspi, 18,723; and Anton Raymund Agbay, 12,182 votes.
