A laborer was stabbed to death, reportedly by his neighbor, while cutting lumber at his home in Purok Kamatis, Barangay Mambaroto in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental Aug. 30.
The Sipalay police identified the victim as alias “Eddie”, 32.
The police said that, according to the victim’s minor son, “Eddie” was cutting lumber at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday when the suspect, “Mario”, 42, arrived and, without any provocation, pushed the victim to the ground and repeatedly stabbed him.
The suspect fled after the attack, the police added, while the victim was rushed to the Sipalay City Infirmary but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
Police alert teams and intelligence operatives are conducting a pursuit operation against “Eddie”. | TMD
