The newly-upgraded hemodialysis unit of the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental is again ready to serve its clients.
The renovated facility offers improved, safer, and more efficient dialysis services for patients in need of kidney care.
The hemodialysis center was closed in July after its service provider, which complained of financial losses, ceased operations.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who led the inauguration and blessing of the medical facility on Sept. 5, said the upgraded unit stands as a testament to the provincial government’s ongoing commitment to delivering quality healthcare to every Negrense.
Lacson added that the enhanced facility will empower healthcare professionals to provide even better care to patients.
During its temporary closure, the provincial government assisted dialysis patients in La Carlota by bringing them to dialysis centers at the provincial government-run hospitals in the cities of Silay and Cadiz. | GB
