The standard building of the La Carlota Component City Police Station was inaugurated and blessed on July 1, marking a significant step in strengthening law enforcement and public safety services in the city.

The ceremony was led by Negros Occidental Fourth District Rep. Jeffrey Ferrer; La Carlota City Mayor Jose Luis Jalandoni; PBrig. Gen. Romano Cardino, acting regional director of Negros Island Region, and PCol. Dennis Wenceslao, police provincial director of Negros Occidental.

The new facility is expected to enhance police operations and provide improved services to residents while supporting the city’s peace and order initiatives.

The police station project was initiated during the term of former Fourth District Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer, whose support helped secure the construction of the building.

PLt. Col. Romulus Gadaoni was also named as the new chief of La Carlota City Police Station.

The inauguration of the La Carlota City police station follows the recent turnover of police station buildings in E.B. Magalona and Sagay City. | GPB
