The Bacolod City government will launch the Sunday Market and Kadiwa ng Pangulo on Feb. 23, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the Bacolod Government Center grounds.

This initiative aims to provide a platform for small businesses, promote sustainable agriculture, and strengthen the local food economy by directly connecting farmers and fisherfolk with consumers, the city said Feb. 19.

The market will showcase a variety of fresh and locally-produced goods, including fresh and cooked seafood, seasonal fruits, vegetables, plants and succulents, herbs, fresh and processed mushrooms, fresh and cooked eggs, brewed coffee, kakanins, and fresh lettuce.

The participating producers include the HUCAFC chairpersons on Fishery, HUCAFC chairpersons on Agriculture, Adiangawan Small Farmers Association, Bacolod City Ornamental Growers Association/Garden Clubs, Twenty Six Herb Garden, Brgy. 1, Senior Citizens of Purok San Dionisio, Granada, and LAB for All Egg Laying Project Beneficiaries, among others.

The Bacolod Sunday Market is open to the public, and is aimed at supporting local farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs while enjoying fresh, high-quality produce. ||
