Julio Ledesma NHS to represent NIR in nat’l wellness campus tilt

The Julio Ledesma National High School (JLNHS) in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, is set to represent the Negros Island Region at the Nestlé Wellness Campus (NWC) Best Implementing School, secondary schools’ category, in the national level.

The school’s technical working group paid a courtesy call on Mayor Renato Gustilo at his office Jan. 8 and shared the good news.

The school won last year’s NWC Best Implementing School, secondary schools’ category, at the regional level, earning the right to represent the NIR, the city said in a press release.

JLNHS teacher I and assistant program implementer Jackielou Panerio said that the visit aimed to present the school’s achievements and seek support for their upcoming national competition, noting that they are representing not only the city but the entire NIR.

She added that the school will undergo an on-site evaluation by ambassadors from Nestlé and teams from Greatfil Inc. on Feb. 10.

JLNHS teacher I and lead program implementer John Paul Salinas also presented the program content, budgetary requirements, and other necessities for the evaluation.

The group also thanked Gustilo for his continued support.

The mayor assured his support and wished the team success in the national competition.

Together with Panerio and Salinas were JLNHS principal II Bavirnell Tenio and members of the Technical Working Group. ||
