ISKF-PSKI Bacolod karatekas display top form in tournament

Young karatekas from ISKF-PSKI Bacolod delivered another round of impressive performances to bring home medals from the 9th RNKA Regional Championship held at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City Sept. 18.

Winning the gold for the Bacolod Karate Fighting System were Marianita Felisa Tacdoco (7 y.o. novice kata and kumite), Denisse Martina Atesora (14 y.o. intermediate kata), Paulaine Miyu Kalaw (12 y.o. kumite), Andrea Hom (13 y.o. advance kata), and Mary Sofia Macabenta (7 y.o. newbie kata).

Finishing the competition with a silver medal were Khariz Ghem Dechemo, Gift Tandugon, Daicey Donesa, and Chiara Cruz; while the bronze medalists for the Bacolod KFS team were Ava Isabel Espina, Alexandrine Gorriceta, and Azhanna Gorriceta.

Hom, Donesa, and Dechimo also secured the silver medal in Team Kata girls’ event for 13 years old and below.

Klein Abdiel Torres (9 y.o. intermediate kata), Gurjot Grewal (11 y.o. novice kata), Gavin Latumbo (10 y.o. novice kata), Francis Zohann Kalaw (11 y.o. intermediate kata), Chahatjot Singh (12 y.o. intermediate kata), Gene Agsam (12 y.o. advance kata), Xian Francis Tabujara (9 y.o. kumite), and Joemar Gardose (veterans kata).

Silver medalists were Josh Nigel Perlas, Nathan Tandugon, Dilshaan Toor, Reyvin Embahador, Timothy Ledesma, Dilshaan Toor, and Ken Bryan Macabenta; while Airon Julius Padios, CJ Mampang, Andre Cris Francisco, and Daniel Ian Tabujara bagged the bronze medal.

Latumbo, Ledesma and Tabujara also won the gold in the Team Kata boys’ event while the trio of Singh, Kalaw, and Agsam ruled the intermediate 13 years old and below. Embahador, Germo and Tabujara gave the team another gold medal in intermediate 14 years old and up.
