Bacolod Councilor Israel Salanga is pushing for the inventory of all assets of the city government.
Knowing the existence of assets, properties, or patrimonies owned by the local government of Bacolod is beneficial so that there will be no double acquisition, unless there is need to purchase additional equipment on top of those already available,” Salanga said in his resolution which the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved during its regular session on July 20.
Salanga, who is the chairperson of the SP Committee on Government Assets, proposed that an ad hoc committee will be convened to identify, locate, and inventory all properties of the city government.
The ad hoc committee will be headed by the councilor, with the city vice mayor and the vice chair and members of the Committee on Government Assets as members./CGC
