Innovative technology winning students meet with governor

Negrense students, who won medals in the recent 9th World Innovative Technology Challenge held in Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, presented their awards to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson at the Capitol in Bacolod City Jan. 7.

Erich Joy Grande and Marciela Valdez from Ramon Torres National High School-Main in Bago City, won gold medals in the Symposium Category and showcased their exceptional skills and innovative ideas.

Lettynia Mellisze Sorongon and Jorge Nathalie Dequilla from Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School in Silay City, won the silver medal, while fellow STEM students Lyn Piedad and Akysha Nicole Grande won the bronze, in the same category, the Capitol said.

The students were all winners in the recent 4th Battle of Bots competition, organized by the Negros Occidental Language and IT Center, headed by Dr. Ma. Christina Orbecido, in collaboration with Pinoy Robot Games. ||
