A 45-year-old Indian national was reported by the police to have been found dead April 10 at his residence in Brgy. 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police reports showed that the victim, identified as Sukhwinder Singh, was found unconscious and no longer breathing, based on the claims of a certain Mrs. Melona, who went to his house.
She immediately reported this to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of San Carlos City. CDRRMO paramedics tried to revive Singh, to no avail.
The police recommended the body to be subjected to an autopsy to determine the real cause of death.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man, identified as Richard Paborada, drowned April 9 in Sitio Sadlom, Brgy. Camindangan, Sipalay City, the police said.
Police investigations showed that the victim went swimming in a river near his residence. His cousin, John Paul Valespin, told the police that Paborada drowned after he got stuck between rocks.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Sipalay City infirmary, the police said./GB
