Hundreds of houses in Barangay 10, Bacolod City, were inundated while commuters waded in flooded streets Sunday afternoon, April 30, following a cloudburst, or a sudden, very heavy rainfall.

Barangay 10 kagawad Marvi Vasquez said personnel of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office were ready to evacuate the affected families, but most of the residents decided to wait out the downpour.

The barangay hall was also flooded, Vasquez said.

The heavy rainfall started at around 1 p.m. and let out two hours later.

Several streets were also inundated, especially along Lacson, the city public plaza, and around SM City Bacolod./MML
