Mayor Mayette Javellana signed a contract of lease Jan. 6 with Hemoserve Corp. president, Stp Pili, for the establishment of the Hemoserve Dialysis Center within the Bago City Hospital.
The memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing, held at the Jubilee Hall, was witnessed by councilors Leonilo Del Carmen, Robert Javellana, and Imee Precion, together with City Legal Officer Edward Joseph Cuansing and the mayor’s chief of staff, Dr. Jonathan Lobaton.
The MOA, authorized under Resolution 26-002, involves the use of a 323-square-meter portion of the hospital specifically for the operation of a modern dialysis facility, the city said in a statement.

“The establishment of the dialysis center is a major step forward in the city government’s mission to provide accessible and affordable life-saving medical services directly to our constituents, ensuring that Bagonhons no longer need to travel far for vital treatment,” the city added.
Following the MOA signing, del Carmen, who is chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Health, with Javellana and Precion and Hemoserve representatives, visited the center at the hospital.
The site visit aims to oversee needed preparations for the start of operations soon of this modern dialysis facility.
“This project stands as proof that partnership, communication, and sincerity can overcome any challenge. We remain committed to serving with compassion, integrity, and excellence — hand in hand with our local government,” Hemoserve Corp. posted last Oct. 22.
“For our patients and families waiting for dialysis services, please know that everything is moving forward positively, and we are all doing our best to open the center soon,” it added. ||
