Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson reiterated his personal appeal to the unvaccinated senior citizens in Negros Occidental to join the vaccination program, noting a low turnout among those in the A2 category.

In his speech during the turnover of financial assistance to typhoon victims in Ilog, Lacson said he had already been vaccinated four times and nothing happened to him.

Lacson, who is now in his early 60s, recalled that he suffered a mild symptom, when he got infected by the coronavirus disease in January.

“There is no problem in getting vaccinated,” he stressed.

Two additional COVID-19 cases were reported Friday by the Provincial Incident Management Team, bringing to 27 the number of active cases, with four recoveries, as of June 3./GB
