A local government employee was among the eight individuals arrested by the police in series of buy-busts in Negros Occidental on Jan. 6.
Alias “Pangga”, 45, a regular employee of the Sagay City government, was collared during the operation at Lady Circle in Barangay Rizal, Sagay City.
His arrest yielded 4.6 grams of suspected shabu valued at P31,280 and P500 in marked money.
At Hacienda Ricky in Barangay Paraiso, also in Sagay City, alias “Nonoy” was found possessing 2.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P14,960 and P500 in marked money.
The arrest of alias “Baldo”, a tricycle driver, and alias “Estoy”, a construction worker, at Sitio Lugway in Barangay Gargato, Hinigaran, yielded four sachets of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money, and an improvised shabu paraphernalia.
Police operatives also arrested four drug suspects in simultaneous operations in the cities of La Carlota and Talisay, and La Castellana town, which led to the confiscation of six grams of suspected shabu worth 40,800 and P1,500 in marked money. | GB
