A minor was declared dead at a hospital after allegedly ending her own life inside a residence in Barangay Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Saturday.
The victim was a 10 year-old-girl, according to the initial investigation of Silay City Police Station.
Her sibling told the police that she discovered her sister hanging with a plastic rope around her neck in the kitchen of their grandmother’s house in Hacienda Margasa 2.
The incident is still being investigated by the police.
Also on Saturday, a trisikad driver died while his companion survived after both were shot by an unidentified gunman along the Antonio Luna Interior in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.
Alias “Mark”, 33, who succumbed to a gunshot wound in the head, was declared at the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital while his companion alias “Paulo”, 28, suffered injuries in the back.
Investigation showed both the victims were having a drinking spree inside a residential compound when the assailant entered and shot them. | GB
