Former Vice President Leni Robredo, who is campaigning for independent senatorial aspirants Francis Pangilinan and Bam Aquino, is arriving for a campaign sortie in Negros Occidental on Wednesday, March 19.

The arrival of Robredo for a political rally at the Paglaum Sports Stadium in Bacolod City, was confirmed by former governor Rafael Coscolluela.

Robredo will pay a courtesy call on Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, who supported her presidential bid in the 2022 presidential elections, prior to the 6 p.m. rally.

Lacson confirmed on Monday, March 17, that he has been invited to join the political activity.

Asked if he will support the bid of two former senators, Lacson replied in jest, “Can we wait on Wednesday?”

Robredo, who is running for mayor in Naga City, is also endorsing the Mamayang Liberal partylist group, with former Senator and Justice Secretary Leila de Lima as its first nominee. | GB
