PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky is the new acting police regional director of Western Visayas (Region 6).
Wanky was the director of Bacolod City Police Office in 2017 before he was promoted to the rank of brigadier general.
His designation as acting regional director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 director took effect, Thursday, Feb. 15.
PBrig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, the predecessor of Wanky, has been designated as acting chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development, according to Camp Crame.
Before he was named as the PRO-6 chief, Wanky served as head of the PNP Aviation Security Group.
Both Wanky and Villafor belong to the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1992.
Villaflor succeeded PMaj. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee, who was named as the PNP Director for Operations. | GB
