Former police chiefs of Bacolod City and Dumaguete City in Negros Island Region have been given new assignments in the Philippine National Police (PNP), taking on key leadership roles in the organization.
PBrig. Gen. Francisco Ebreo, who served as the city director of Bacolod City Police Office in 2017 to 2018, assumed duties as acting director of the PNP Training Service on Aug. 31.
Ebreo’s appointment to the Training Service places him in charge of an important component of the PNP’s efforts to enhance the competence and professionalism of its police force.
PBrig. Gen. Crisaleo Tolentino, who was the chief of Dumaguete City Police Office in 2009, has been designated regional director of Police Regional Office-1 effective Aug. 28.
He also served as commander of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office Mobile Force Company in 2017.
Tolentino will oversee police operations and administration in the Ilocos Region, bringing his previous field experience in local police leadership to his new regional assignment.
He took over from PBrig. Gen. Jovencio Badua Jr., who was subsequently designated officer-in-charge of the Directorate for Police Community Relations.
Badua succeeded PMaj. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, who has retired from the police service. | GPB
