Six participants of the Panaad sa Negros Best of Festival Dances Competition and two others, including a driver and a minor, were slightly injured in a road crash along the highway of Barangay Talaban in Himamaylan City on Wednesday, April 15.

All the injured, who are from Hinoba-an, were already discharged from the Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital in Himamaylan City after their treatment, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said.

Diaz also reported that another festival dancer from Hinoba-an, a 15-year-old girl, fell off the stage at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

She has been referred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City for magnetic resonance imaging examination because of her back injury.

Hinoba-an Mayor Daph Reliquias said the multi-purpose service vehicle of Barangay Pook was carrying 10 passengers, including the driver, when they figured in an accident at around 5 a.m.

Reliquias said the multi-purpose Canter vehicle fell on its side after hitting a road signage. | GPB
